Hello DLVR. Fam!

It’s that special time of year! Once again, we had the absolute privilege of teaming up with our incredible friends at Sheetz for their annual Sheetz For The Kidz event, to help children and families in need across Crawford, Erie, and Mercer counties. This is our favorite event of the year, and this year, we had a little help.

We want to start this newsletter by giving a special shoutout to our friend Marco at Wheels Up Distribution. Our initial truck plans fell through, and he was nice enough to chip in and get us hooked up with a replacement at the very last minute. During the busiest time of year, in an environment of tense competition among companies like ours, he teamed up with us to make sure our part of the event went off without a hitch. We can’t thank him enough.

Why Sheetz For The Kidz Is So Important

Since 1992, Sheetz For The Kidz — an independent, employee-founded charity — has helped more than 182,000 underprivileged children across Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, North Carolina, and Michigan. In the last six years alone, the organization has raised and distributed over $12 million in toys, clothing, and essentials, with the 2024 holiday season setting a new record: $2.7 million in total support, including a December haul of $1.81 million that brought gifts to 12,500 children and granted life-changing wishes to 78 seriously ill kids through Make-A-Wish.

Working store-by-store with The Salvation Army, every one of Sheetz’s 750+ locations adopts local families, delivering age-appropriate presents directly to parents so kids wake up to Christmas morning joy without adding financial strain. Beyond the holidays, the charity provided 1.7 million meals in 2024 through Feeding America partnerships and year-round food programs, offering families not just seasonal cheer but real, ongoing relief from hunger and hardship in the communities Sheetz calls home.

It’s not just the good work the program does though - for our CEO Robert, it’s personal. Long before leading DLVR Logistics, Robert was one of the kids helped by the program under the Sheetz Family Christmas moniker. Years later, when DLVR Logistics had the opportunity to work with Sheetz on the very same program, now called Sheetz For The Kidz, Robert saw it as a chance to give back what he once received.

Your willingness to allow a small company like ours the opportunity to give back in our communities means the world. And to every member of the DLVR crew who volunteered their time, braved the cold, and lifted one more box “just because”— we can’t thank you enough.
